Netherland Dwarf and French Lop Rabbits for Sale
Two breeds most rabbitries do not keep, from a small family rabbitry in Bakersfield. We also raise Holland Lops and Mini Lops. Every rabbit is born in the house, handled from a few days old, and driven to you by road.

A Netherland Dwarf rabbit for sale is a harder thing to find than most people expect, because the breed produces small litters and few rabbitries in California keep them at all. Ours are $250, 1.5–2.5 lb full grown, with the short upright ears and round head the breed is known for.
They are the liveliest of the four breeds here and the least interested in being carried about, which is a size response rather than a fault. Handled every day from a few days old, as these have been, a Netherland Dwarf becomes genuinely sociable on its own terms. What living with one is actually like.
French Lops available now
A French Lop bunny for sale is the opposite proposition: 10–15 lb full grown, which is the weight of a small dog. French Lops are $350 here, bucks and does alike, and they are the calmest rabbits we breed. If you have room for one, nothing else makes a better lap rabbit.
Be certain about the size before you commit. A giant French Lop needs floor space rather than a bigger cage, and everything from the litter tray to the vet bill scales with the animal. How big they really get, and what the first year costs.

Holland Lop bunnies for sale are what most people picture when they picture a lop: 2–4 lb, lop ears, a flat face, and a temperament that suits families. Ours are $250 for a buck and $280 for a doe, and every recognised colour is documented with photographs.

Where we are, and how far we drive
We are in Bakersfield, California. People searching for Netherland Dwarfs for sale near me, or a French Lop rabbit for sale nearby, usually find the closest breeder is several hours away, because there are not many of us and the litters are small.
So we drive. Every rabbit travels by road, in a climate-controlled vehicle, the whole way. Never flown, never handed to a freight company, never shipped as cargo. Collection here is free and takes about twenty minutes, most of it spent going through the care sheet with you.

Which breed suits your household?
The honest answer is that it depends more on your floor space and your temperament than on the rabbit's. A French Lop at fifteen pounds and a Netherland Dwarf at two are not the same commitment in any respect.
- Want a lap rabbit? French Lop, every time, if you have the room.
- Small flat, no children? Netherland Dwarf, and let it come to you.
- Family with young children? Holland Lop or Mini Lop, both tolerate handling better.

Who you are buying from
Arlen Rabbitry is run by Arlen in Bakersfield, breeding since 2020. It is five litters a year, raised in the house. There is no unit, no staff and no second location, and the person who raised your rabbit is the person who answers your email.

- Nothing leaves early. A rabbit goes home when it is eating well on its own and using its litter tray, not on a date.
